Cuernavaca - and its everlasting Spring

Cuernavaca is one hour from Mexico City and is 1542 meters above sea level. Cuernavaca has a population of around 500.000 and is also known as the city with the everlasting spring. It is around 24 degress celsius the whole year. There are many interesting museums and colonial buildings, for example Cortes' 1530 summer residence, in Cuernavaca. You should also take the time to admire the 16th century cathedral and the Indian pyramids near Cuernavaca.

Visitors will find many cafes and galeries in downtown Cuernavaca. At around 10 p.m. the cafes turn into lively bars and clubs. However, you will not only find cafes, galeries and clubs in Cuernavaca but also European style spas. We would also recommend that you visit the waterfall Salto de San Anton or the Las Estacas river (one of Mexico's most famous springs) where scenes for the movie Tarzan were filmed.
