Our language school´s College Accredited program, which is endorsed by both the Ministerio de Educación de Guatemala and the Instituto Guatemalteco de Turismo, offers Total Immersion Study. Even those who have had no prior Spanish exposure will be completing basic Spanish phrases after the first day! Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8:00-12:00 and 2:00-5:00, and students may start any day of the week. Students and teachers work one-on-one, which allows each student to work at his/her individual level. We place particular emphasis on flexibility: students pick the areas they wish to emphasize - conversation, comprehension, writing, etc. The school offers a relaxed tranquil environment, with a choice of studying in either of our two centrally located buildings - both colonial homes with bougainvillea-filled gardens. Some students enjoy working in the park or strolling through town with their professors. A few have even been known to study over a beer in a local cantina!

Our new school is a beautiful Spanish colonial house located on a closed estate in the best part of Antigua. Over 6,000 square feet (570 square meters) of space is not only home to classrooms for intensive language study, it contains our offices, private rooms, and apartments, as well as an Internet café, laundry area, and kitchen! All school apartments and rooms are within the premises, and the house is directly across the street. We are located in the town of Antigua in Guatemala, four blocks from the exact town center. Home stay families and hotels are all within walking distance of the language school and town center, usually a walk of 5 minutes or less, and students often study the Spanish language after their language lessons, and speak Spanish and study the language with their host families! Our students study Spanish in one of our large gardens next to gorgeous plants, trees, or fountains, under a shaded patio, or in a spacious classroom. There is a private library only for our students, and even a garage for those traveling Guatemala and Central America with a personal vehicle. Students needs are well exceeded by our extended staff of administrators, caretakers, and maids. We welcome you to quite possibly the largest, best located, and most beautiful school in Antigua, Guatemala!

Language school Antigua: Accomodation We provide you with all the facilities you need to feel comfortable while studying with us. We can arrange you most everything at your arrival to Guatemala from picking you up from the airport to find you a family to live with, and making touristic trips around the country. With The Family Stay Program you can live with a local family, it includes meals everyday (exect Sundays and certain holidays). The school organizes weekly field trips for which the students have to pay a small fee to cover costs involved (transportation, entrances fees, etc.) Other programmed activities are free of charge (sport, videos, parties, etc.) Also, the school can book tours with travel agencies to all tourist destination in Guatemala, at no extra charge. Language school Antigua: Leisure Activities There is a wide range of activities offered by the school, and your teacher or the administrative staff arranges everything. The activities are a good way to break up the day and to actively participate in Guatemalan life. They are also a good way to practice your Spanish! Some of the activities offered: Movies in Spanish, Dance lessons (Salsa, Meringue, etc.), Soccer matches, Bicycle tours in Antigua and neighboring towns and villages, Visits to museums within and outside Antigua, Tours to ruins, coffee plantations, silver factories, Observe Mayan rituals, Lectures on Guatemalan history, holidays, and culture, Seminars in Spanish on specific topics, Practical information sessions on travel within Guatemala and Central America, Horseback riding and hiking. Weekend excursions to places such as Lago de Atitlan (majestic lake ringed by volcanoes), Chichicastenango (huge market town), and Volcan Pacaya (inactive volcano) are arranged by the school as well, at minimal cost to our students. Teachers go along on these trips at no extra charge to the students! Frequency for these special activities depends upon demand.
