Our language school in San Jose

Our language school in Costa Rica was founded in 1986. Our school is known for its friendly, familiar atmosphere and its intensive and individual student support. The staff is always open to any questions you might have. All learning materials were created by the staff and lessons are supported by newspapers, magazines, videos and songs. This makes each lesson different and interesting. Advanced students have the possibility to discuss many different themes in their course. For example: National Parks in Costa Rica, Ecology, Modern Latin American Literature, Costa Rican education system, Costa Rican traditions, and Politics.

In the Mini Group Course you will study with no more than 5 students, however, the average group size is between 3 and 4 students. 1 Lesson is 45 minutes long. On the first day of classes you will take a placement test to ensure that you are put into the correct group. You may also choose to concentrate on technical or business Spanish. All courses also cover topics like Latin American literature, politics and social issues.

Language school San Jose: Accommodation

Our host families all live in Coronado, close to the school, and are carefully selected by the school staff. If you choose to live with a host family then you will get a special, one of a kind chance to improve your Spanish and experience the Costa Rican culture. All host families are open and friendly. You can choose between a Category 1 Host Family (Single Room with half board) and Category 2 (Single Room, Private Bathroom and half board). You can also choose to stay in an apartment. The apartments (single room, TV, Bathroom and Kitchenette) are located 1.5 to 4 kilometres from the school in Coronado or Guadalupe. Our school can also recommend a nice hotel close to the school upon request.

Language school San Jose: Leisure Activities

During your visit to Costa Rica you will be able to participate in many different leisure activities. Our language school plans many weekly activities. For example, new students can participate in the city tour. Students can also participate in a cooking class, take dance lessons (Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue), visit the Salsa Club, visit the University of Costa Rica, the Jade and Gold Museum, and the farmers market. Students who would like to stay fit during their visit to Costa Rica can visit the Multisport-Center in Moravia (Swimming, Tennis, Basketball, Soccer). Our school also has its own travel office where you can get information and book many different excursions. The travel office organizes half-day, day and weekend trips, jungle excursions and ocean visits. Let yourself be amazed by Costa Rica!
