Our language school in Hamburg

You will receive a placement test before you even start your language course in Hamburg. This process makes it possible for our school to prepare your course before your arrival. You can choose how intensively you would like to study during your stay in Hamburg. Our school offers courses with 2 to 5 lessons per day in a group or up to 8 private lessons daily. You also have the possibility to combine a group course with a few private lessons. All of our teachers are qualified to teach German as a foreign language. The school is right downtown Hamburg in a pedestrian zone. This central location makes it possible to enjoy many various activities after class. Our school also organizes many activities and excursions. You can start a course at our school in Hamburg on any Monday if you have some prior knowledge of German. If you are an absolute beginner then we recommend starting on one of the beginner starting dates (see Courses and Prices for further information).

Our school does not only offer various general courses but also various special courses like a “ZDF” course, “Bildungsurlaub”, evening courses, mini courses and courses for private groups. The German and Music course is especially interesting. Here students learn German and also have lessons in music theory and piano, violin, flute or voice lessons. Our school works together with the International College of Music in Hamburg for this course. Another interesting course is the “Migration” course. This is a course especially for foreigners who would like to live and work in Germany. All lessons are taught in German and the main focus is put upon improving the student’s ability to communicate in everyday situations.

Language school Hamburg: Accommodation

We offer three different types of accommodations in Hamburg. The first option, accommodation with a host family, offers the student to possibility to improve their German outside of the classroom situation and to get a feel for German culture and family life. Students then have the chance to experience typical German food and to use the expression “Moin Moin” which means “Hello” and is used at all time during the day. Another option is to book a room in a shared apartment. Here students have their own bedroom and share the living room and bathroom with other students. These shared apartments don’t have kitchens but they are located direct in the downtown pedestrian zone so students can eat at the various, low-priced restaurants, bistros, cafes and fast-food restaurants. We can also book various hotels around the city.

Language school Hamburg: Leisure Activities

You don’t want to see just your classroom while you are in Hamburg and our school organizes a large assortment of activities and excursions. Here every student will find something that fits his taste. Hamburg has plenty to offer- culture, athletics, shopping and nature. Hamburg is also the perfect starting point for visits to other cities in northern Germany or a weekend trip to Denmark. A language course in Hamburg is defiantly an experience that you will not forget. Have Fun!
