When I arrived my English was so-so. Now after 3 month it's much better, really efficient. It was very helpful that the school had an English only policy, which was strictly checked all the time. Whoever from the team saw someone speaking in his home language the person was friendly asked to switch to english.Hints for other students
The school has a HUGE offer of leisure time activities. I went to Niagara and to Kingston near Toronto and had good fun with all the other students.Comments

Hausaufgaben ernster nehmen, damit man auch tatsächlich was lernt und gut auf die Prüfungen vorbereitet ist.Comments
Mir hat die Schule und vor allem auch die Lehrer sehr gut gefallen. Der Unterricht war sehr gut gestaltet und mit Spielen aufgelockert. Insgesamt habe ich viel gelernt und bin mit vielen anderen ins Gespräch gekommen. Deshalb plane ich, im nächsten Jahr vielleicht den Advanced 2 Kurs zu machen, möglicherweise diesmal in Vancouver, um
auch eine andere Stadt kennen zu lernen.

Alles zur Zufriedenheit verlaufen. Gut war, dass ich bei Linguland erst einmal 8 Wochen buchen konnte und anschließend verlängern. |

Nach diesen vier Wochen in Kanada ist mein Englisch ist nun deutlich besser als vorher. Der Unterricht hat dazu einen großen Teil beigetragen. Noch wichtiger war es aber das ich mich im Alltag auf Englisch verständigen
mußte. Demzufolge war meine Entscheidung den Standartkurs (4 Stunden pro Tag) zu nehmen die Richtige. Die beiden Lehrerinnen, die mich in meiner Zeit dort unterrichtet haben
(Mary und Melissa) kann ich nur Loben. Beide waren sehr sehr nett, geduldig
und vor allem qualifiziert.
Der Unterricht lief in einer angenehm lockeren Atmosphäre ab. Der Umgang der
Schüler untereinander war perfekt.Disadvantages of the language school
Im Grunde hab ich nichts vermisst. Vielleicht könnte man ein paar
zusätzliche Computer mit Internetzugang aufstellen. Es sind zwar welche
vorhanden, aber gemessen an der Anzahl der Studenten zu wenig. So waren
immer längere Wartezeiten einzukalkulieren wenn man einen PC benutzen

Toronto ist super. In dieser Stadt gibt es soviel zu sehen und zu machen, dass die 4 Wochen eigentlich viel zu kurz waren. Die Menschen dort sind sehr
freundlich und hilfsbereit.Comments
Ich habe noch keine Sekunde bereut, dass ich diesen Kurs gemacht habe. Im
Gegenteil. Mein Englisch hat sich verbessert, aber das ist gar nicht das
wichtigste. Ich habe Leute aus der ganzen Welt kennengelernt, aus allen
Kontinenten. Habe neue Freunde gefunden. Lernte andere Kulturen und
Mentalitäten kennen und habe erfahren wie die Anderen die Welt und auch
Deutschland sehen.
Zum Schluß möchte ich mich bei Ihnen und Linguland für die Hilfe und die
freundliche Beratung bedanken. Sie haben sich um alles hervorragend
gekümmert. Es gibt tatsächlich nichts zu kritisieren. 100%! Ich werde
Linguland weiterempfehlen. Danke.

Viele nicht muttersprachige Gastfamilien.Hints for other students
Es ist auf jedenfall ein TTC Ticket einzuplanen. 100 Dollar für eine Monatskarte, 30 Dollar für eine Wochenkarte. Kann in ganz Toronto rund um die Uhr eingesetzt werden. Alle Mitschüler reisten mit dem Personennahverkehr an, keiner kam zu Fuss.
Es kommen zusätzliche Kosten für Lehrmaterial auf. |

Ich habe jetzt 3 Wocehn die Schule besucht und eine Woche mit den Einheimischen gelebt und dort genau dass verbessern und verstärken können was ich in der Schule gelernt habe. Das war optimal. |

Dont be shy! Falls Bedenken oder Nervösität vor der Reise auftreten sollten - wie es bei mir der Fall war - kann ich beruhigen. Zweifel sind unnötig, da Schule, Studenten und Organisation einfach toll waren(sind). Ich empfehle es gerne weiter!Comments

La escuela, los viajes y actividades promovidas por la escuela, los
compañeros, el staff de ILAC, sin olvidar mi casa de acogida, una familia a la que echaré mucho de menos y que hizo mi estancia en Toronto mucho más
fácil de lo que esperaba.
La ciudad es muy grande, pero a la vez es tranquila y tiene un servicio de

En mi caso, sinceramente, no hay nada que piense que pueda mejorarse. Han
puesto el listón muy alto para posibles futuros viajes que haga para

Disfrutar de la ciudad lo máximo que podais, porque si vais 3 semanas,
como es mi caso, el tiempo pasa volando... Apuntaos a las máximas actividades posibles que os interesen porque realmente merece la pena (económicamente también merece la pena realizar las actividades a través de la escuela). Lo que sà que es imperdonable no hacer, es la excursión a Nueva York,
sinceramente, el mejor viaje de mi vida... Además, sin daros cuenta, al
participar en estas actividades estareis mejorando vuestro inglés.Comments
Se trata de una escuela muy nueva, con profesores, al menos en mi caso, muy atentos, que hacen que vayas a clase con ganas... y eso, es mucho decir. La ciudad me encantó y en general la sociedad es muy acogedora.
