When I arrived my English was so-so. Now after 3 month it's much better, really efficient. It was very helpful that the school had an English only policy, which was strictly checked all the time. Whoever from the team saw someone speaking in his home language the person was friendly asked to switch to english.Hints for other students
The school has a HUGE offer of leisure time activities. I went to Niagara and to Kingston near Toronto and had good fun with all the other students.Comments

Hausaufgaben ernster nehmen, damit man auch tatsächlich was lernt und gut auf die Prüfungen vorbereitet ist.Comments
Mir hat die Schule und vor allem auch die Lehrer sehr gut gefallen. Der Unterricht war sehr gut gestaltet und mit Spielen aufgelockert. Insgesamt habe ich viel gelernt und bin mit vielen anderen ins Gespräch gekommen. Deshalb plane ich, im nächsten Jahr vielleicht den Advanced 2 Kurs zu machen, möglicherweise diesmal in Vancouver, um
auch eine andere Stadt kennen zu lernen.

Nach diesen vier Wochen in Kanada ist mein Englisch ist nun deutlich besser als vorher. Der Unterricht hat dazu einen großen Teil beigetragen. Noch wichtiger war es aber das ich mich im Alltag auf Englisch verständigen
mußte. Demzufolge war meine Entscheidung den Standartkurs (4 Stunden pro Tag) zu nehmen die Richtige. Die beiden Lehrerinnen, die mich in meiner Zeit dort unterrichtet haben
(Mary und Melissa) kann ich nur Loben. Beide waren sehr sehr nett, geduldig
und vor allem qualifiziert.
Der Unterricht lief in einer angenehm lockeren Atmosphäre ab. Der Umgang der
Schüler untereinander war perfekt.Disadvantages of the language school
Im Grunde hab ich nichts vermisst. Vielleicht könnte man ein paar
zusätzliche Computer mit Internetzugang aufstellen. Es sind zwar welche
vorhanden, aber gemessen an der Anzahl der Studenten zu wenig. So waren
immer längere Wartezeiten einzukalkulieren wenn man einen PC benutzen

Toronto ist super. In dieser Stadt gibt es soviel zu sehen und zu machen, dass die 4 Wochen eigentlich viel zu kurz waren. Die Menschen dort sind sehr
freundlich und hilfsbereit.Comments
Ich habe noch keine Sekunde bereut, dass ich diesen Kurs gemacht habe. Im
Gegenteil. Mein Englisch hat sich verbessert, aber das ist gar nicht das
wichtigste. Ich habe Leute aus der ganzen Welt kennengelernt, aus allen
Kontinenten. Habe neue Freunde gefunden. Lernte andere Kulturen und
Mentalitäten kennen und habe erfahren wie die Anderen die Welt und auch
Deutschland sehen.
Zum Schluß möchte ich mich bei Ihnen und Linguland für die Hilfe und die
freundliche Beratung bedanken. Sie haben sich um alles hervorragend
gekümmert. Es gibt tatsächlich nichts zu kritisieren. 100%! Ich werde
Linguland weiterempfehlen. Danke.

Es ist auf jedenfall ein TTC Ticket einzuplanen. 100 Dollar für eine Monatskarte, 30 Dollar für eine Wochenkarte. Kann in ganz Toronto rund um die Uhr eingesetzt werden. Alle Mitschüler reisten mit dem Personennahverkehr an, keiner kam zu Fuss.
Es kommen zusätzliche Kosten für Lehrmaterial auf. | | |

La escuela, los viajes y actividades promovidas por la escuela, los
compañeros, el staff de ILAC, sin olvidar mi casa de acogida, una familia a la que echaré mucho de menos y que hizo mi estancia en Toronto mucho más
fácil de lo que esperaba.
La ciudad es muy grande, pero a la vez es tranquila y tiene un servicio de

En mi caso, sinceramente, no hay nada que piense que pueda mejorarse. Han
puesto el listón muy alto para posibles futuros viajes que haga para

Disfrutar de la ciudad lo máximo que podais, porque si vais 3 semanas,
como es mi caso, el tiempo pasa volando... Apuntaos a las máximas actividades posibles que os interesen porque realmente merece la pena (económicamente también merece la pena realizar las actividades a través de la escuela). Lo que sí que es imperdonable no hacer, es la excursión a Nueva York,
sinceramente, el mejor viaje de mi vida... Además, sin daros cuenta, al
participar en estas actividades estareis mejorando vuestro inglés.Comments
Se trata de una escuela muy nueva, con profesores, al menos en mi caso, muy atentos, que hacen que vayas a clase con ganas... y eso, es mucho decir. La ciudad me encantó y en general la sociedad es muy acogedora.

La escuela es grande y puedes conocer a un montón de gente de otros países si te lo propones, lo cual es un ambiente perfecto para aprender inglés. La ciudad es muy tranquila (si lo comparamos con el bullicio español) pero es una ciudad multicultural donde puedes encontrar a gente de todas las procedencias posibles. Yo creo que se debería mejorar la llegada a la escuela, ya que muchos alumnos llegan solos y sin conocer a nadie, y necesitan un montón de información para que al menos la primera semana sea un poco más sencilla, yo abogaría por una reunión semanal con cada consejero/a de la escuela con su grupo, así alumnos que ya llevan tiempo en la ciudad y en la escuela pudieran recomendar o dar información a los nuevos alumnos.Hints for other students

Me ha parecido una experiencia fantástica, la escuela está muy bien, tanto los profesores como los responsables de las actividades en el tiempo libre, son gente maravillosa que se preocupan por ti y te ayudan en todo lo que necesites. Las clases son geniales, te diviertes mucho a la vez que estás aprendiendo, me pareció una gran escuela. El homestay fue también genial, me acogieron fenomenal desde el primer día y me sentí muy a gusto dentro de la casa. | | |

Todo en general ha estado muy bien, tanto la familia como la escuela, ha
sido una experiencia inolvidable en la que he hecho montones de amigos.
Además Toronto tiene el ambiente propicio para aprender inglés ya que el
número de españoles es bastante más reducido que en otros destinos más
típicos como Lóndres, Dublín o Malta.

Las dos mejores cosas de mi experiencia fueron por este orden, el conocer
gente de otros sitios y aprender sus costumbres a la vez
que mejorábamos nuestro inglés. Y en segundo lugar los viajes de fin de
semana fueron increíbles. Toronto está relativamente cerca de un montón de
sitios interesantes y no es caro viajar allí con la escuela.
Yo no use mucho el ordenador o el teléfono allí porque
tenía el mío propio. Pero había un montón de ordenadores para la gente que lo hubiera llevado de casa. Además teníamos acceso a una red wifi propia. Los libros un poco caros pero la profesora un 10, perfecta. La mejor profesora de inglés que he tenido
nunca, además no éramos demasiados

Supongo que dependerá de que busque cada uno. Pero por ejemplo mi alojamiento en cuanto equipamiento era genial. La calidad de la habitación, cocinas, situación geográfica..., era perfecta. Hints for other students
Toronto es un gran sitio para ir a estudiar inglés. Mi recomendación es que
trates de buscar gente de otros países para relacionarte. Te lo vas a pasar
igual de bien que con españoles pero vas a tener el plus de que vas a
mejorar tu inglés.
Por otro lado recomiendo las excursiones de fin de semana. Si bien es verdad
que resultan muy cansadas, es una oportunidad única de visitar nuevos
sitios. Recomiendo la excursión a Nueva York. Por supuesto visita
las cataratas del Niagara, son realmente increíbles.Comments
La verdad es que ha sido una experiencia inolvidable. Me lo he pasado muy
bien y he conocido a un montón de gente de otros países: Japón, Corea,
Brasil, Ucrania, Arabia Saudí, ... He podido mejorar mi nivel de inglés
notablemente y he tenido la posibilidad de visitar multitud de sitios:
Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa, Washington, Nueva York, ... y la propia Toronto.
Estoy muy contento de haber vivido esta experiencia, repetiría todo
sin dudarlo... bueno iría más tiempo. | | |

No me hubiera importado quedarme un par de meses más, ha merecido la pena, el personal del colegio, perfecto, si hubo algún problema lo solucionaor lo más pronto posible.Disadvantages of the language school
Respecto al colegio, el nivel es bastante más elevado y exigente si lo comparamos con ingaterra, hay demasiado niveles y creo que el material deberia ser más barato y las excursiones... aprovechar más el tiempo en ir de un lugar a otro para ver. Deberían plantearlo de otra manera o poner guías que realmente le gusten su trabajo al igual que los homestay, que realmente le guste aprender de diferentes culturas, enseñar, ayudar, comprender... pero bueno de todo tiene que haber en este mundo.

Los profesores y clases increíbles, aprender a dejar la vergüenza a un lado y es bueno eso de hacer exámenes cada dos semanas, asi te esfuerzas y aprendes más, porque aunque parezca mentira la gente se pica en a ver quien saca mayor nota. Estoy muy contenta, la verdad más que contenta, contentísima y conocí a muchísima gente.
Decidí irme porque me hablaron muchísimo de Canadá y de allí solo me dijeron cosas buenas. Yo conocía a un par de españoles que habían ido con Linguland y que habían estado Toronto y contraté el curso.
El viaje de ida fue una pasada con la emoción que sentíamos en el cuerpo el viaje en el avión se nos hizo super corto. Fuimos todo el camino viendo películas en inglés. Éramos varios españoles los que coincidimos en esas fechas. Alguno se quedaba más tiempo otros menos, pero nos hicimos todos muy amigos
Cada día nos encontrábamos con un nuevo reto, una nueva experiencia. El hecho de no poder hablar español ni en la escuela ni en las clases nos ayudó mucho ya que la mayoría de nosotros mejoramos mucho. Los maestros eran muy simpáticos y las clases se hacían muy divertidas, nunca nos aburriamos ya que cada día era diferente, con nuevos vocabularios, nuevas personas. Es una escuela super multicultural!
Amigos muchos, y de todas las nacionalidades: españoles, venezolanos, mexicanos, rusos, japoneses, coreanos, chinos, israelis, de todas las nacionalidades!!
El timpo libre era cada día más especial para todos. Cada día teníamos un plan diferente. Unos días íbamos de compras, otros a visitar monumentos importates y/o museos..., todos los días eran super especiales y nos acostumbramos mucho a la vida en Canadá, tanto que al menos yo pretendo volver el próximo verano!
La vida diaria especialmente para los que estábamos en familia era super cómoda y relajada. Nos sentíamos como en casa, con nuestro desayuno típico canadiense: tortitas con sirope de arce, el bocadillo que nos preparaban para el lunch cada día estaba buenísimo y las cenas en familia eran increíbles. La familia que me tocó a mi se portó muy bien conmigo.
Peculiaridades del país, o por lo menos lo que a mi me llamó más la atención fue que los pasos de peatones son super seguros las calles y metros también y los horarios de cena, desayun y lunch son totalmente diferentes.Disadvantages of the language school
